Kate Payne came to visit on August 3

On August 3, Kate Payne came to visit with her whole family! It was such a blessing to spend some time with the granddaughter of Kathy Will Payne and her dear family!

Here you see Kate playing the piano with her big brother, Josh.

Kate is the daughter of Kathy and Carl's oldest son, Jeff. I regret that I did not get a good photo of the whole family. It was so good to spend time with Jeff's dear wife, Wendy, Wendy's son, Josh, Jeff's older brother, Steve, and Kathy's wonderful husband, Carl. I know that Kathy would be so very proud of her dear family. Kathy must be having such great joy, singing God's praises in person and knowing that her family is serving the Lord on earth.

Brunch in Montreal

We were served so much food that we were not really hungary even at dinner time!

My Visit to Montreal in early August - Oliver & Elizabeth - Part 1

In early August, I had the blessing of visiting dear friends in Montreal. I had a WONDERFUL time playing "super heros" and baking and just watching the little people!

August 30, 2010 KRIT's first day of school comes to an end - Part 1

I had the blessing of being at the house when the yellow bus brought the children home from their first day of school.

Katie was pulling weeds at the driveway's end - to meet the bus when it arrived.

Teagan was the first off the bus.

Iain was second and Kyle was third.

Rhia was the last off the bus.

August 30, 2010 KRIT's first day of school comes to an end - Part 2

Rhia was the last off the bus. Teagan stayed close to Mom as each of the children got off the bus.

Everyone had to tell Mom how the day went. After all told us that there was NO AIR CONDITIONING at the school, Kyle stated that his teacher was AWESOME! Teagan was delighted that she sat next to someone she knew on the bus.

Rhia was convinced to model her new dress for school. She had taken off her shoes immediately when she walked in the door because she had gotten blisters from the new shoes. On the first day of school, Mom had the pick of what each would wear. Tomorrow, the children may pick out their own clothes.

Both Iain and Fiona were delighted that the first day of school was over -BUT - each child likes his/her teacher and had a very good day.

August 27, 2010 - American Family Institute

Friday evening Tom, Bonnie and I were very grateful for the tickets we were given to the banquet. We had excellent seats as you can see from this front row photo. I am sure that you recognize the keynote speaker. She was VERY good!

Yellow Raintree August 1, 2010

The last blog entry was a series of photos of the YELLOW RAINTREE in the circle in front of my home on June 29, 2010. I thought that you might like to see what happens to the blossoms in one month's time. Life has been busy since August 1 and I have not had time to post these images since I took them about a month ago. Now the pods are brown and not very pretty. But, August 1, they were bright yellow and quite beautiful.

The yellow black eyed Susan's have been blooming for the past month all around the house and at the entrance to the drive.
