Arrived in Worcester, England and it is Election Day in the USA!

I was just rereading my postings and I was right - packing was the least of my worries at the time - BUT IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN!  My poor brother arrived to take me to the airport and packing was hardly begun!  Poor Tom was forced to stuff things in my suitcases and we prepared a box of things which would come later!  I do hope that I remembered my underwear!  (I must say that having a breakfast of a donut and coffee while sweet 3 year old great-neice Teagan drank her chocolate milk and ate her strawberry frosted donut was a lot more fun than packing!)

I did finally get to the airport and had enough time to get a bite of supper before boarding the plane.  I like to eat before I get on the plane with the hope of sleeping once I am en-route.

I was so rushed that I did not have time to shower before I left the house!  And the tidy house which I always like to leave -- WAS NOT!  Things were strewn everywhere!  I am sure that Tom was glad when I finally left -- after all that confusion in the last moments.

I slept about an hour on the plane and then we landed at Heathrow T5.  I had landed at T5 this summer but had not come from the US so the experience was new.  I was so wiped out and then we had to walk down the long stairs.  God provided a very nice gentleman who offered to carry one of my bags.  We got on a bus and the security guards kept yelling, "Go back and let more people on!"  But there was no room and one particularly intoxicated man was most difficult.  Then we must have taken a ride which lasted over half an hour to the terminal.  I was so exhausted, I could hardly stand and there was no good place to hold on!

After we cleared passport and security, I had some breakfast and called Geoff.  But, Geoff had an earlier fare into London and was delayed by a large accident and so I waited for about another hour or so until he got there.  Geoff drove me the 2 hour drive to Worcester as there was no way I could handle the luggage to the coach and then taxi and then train and then climb up the stairs and over the tracks here in Worcester.

We went to Barbara and David's and they had the key to Debbie's house.  David had kindly come over in the AM to turn on the heat -- but when I got there, there was no heat!  David and Geoff figured it out and then I went back to David and Barbara's for lunch.

When I finally got back to the house to take my long over due shower, I was so tired I could hardly figure out how to turn on the water!  Oh --- that warm water felt so good!  Then I finally brushed my teeth and rested a bit.  Next job was to make a cup of tea and see if I could get the Internet up and running.  Praise God - it works and now I am writing this to let you all know that I am here safe and sound and will begin to explore what I need to do in this house to take care of it properly.
