When I went out to check the 2 green bins which had been full to almost overflowing last night, -- VICTORY! -- the bins had been emptied. The wonderful men had taken all of the recycling during the hours when I was asleep.
Today was spent sorting out important items. I took the bus to the train station to sort out some tickets, I found a 24/7 taxi service and then I waited for another bus to take me the rest of the way into town. This may sound silly but while I was waiting for that second bus (about 40 minutes wait!) I finally think that I figured out the lay of the city. Yes, I had studied the maps, yes, I had lived here 2 years ago for about 6 weeks. I knew that there was a Staples in town. I had taken 2 roads out of town riding with friends and also in a taxi -- but I just could not figure out where that Staples was with respect to the city. As I stood on the hill overlooking the city, I suddenly saw Staples and where it was with respect to other landmarks which I knew. What a feeling of relief! I knew where I was -- finally -- waiting for the bus between Shrub Hill train station and Staples!
